      The goal Introduce students to the basic concepts of the overvoltage protection of electrical networks and systems. Introducing students to the choice of devices for protection and procedures for the insulation coordination of electrical networks and systems. Principles of design of equipment for high voltage laboratories.
      The outcome The following learning outcomes of the course are: design and the protection of electrical networks and systems against overvoltages, design of equipment for high voltage laboratories.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Basic concepts of design and the protection of electrical networks and systems against overvoltages. The basic concept of equipment design for high voltage laboratory. The application of software tools for calculating voltage (MATLAB, EMTP / ATP).
      Contents of exercises Study research work is related to the realization of design of overvoltage protection for electrical networks and systems as well as the realization of design of equipment for high voltage laboratory.
