      The goal The goal of the course is to introduce students to properties of data center communication networks and to recent developments in that area.
      The outcome Students will be involved in research work in the area of data center communication networks and in practical work on designing these networks.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures The role of data center communication networks. Topologies of data center communication networks. Routing in data center networks. Transport layer protocols adjusted to the architecture and applications of data centers. Services and virtualization. Telecommunication traffic in data centers and typical applications (search engines, artificial intelligence, social networks).
      Contents of exercises Simulation and optimization of routing and transport protocols in data centers. Implementation and performance analysis of asplications in data centers.
