      The goal Analyses of various types of disturbances in electrical machines by means of analytical and numerical approaches.
      The outcome Students will be able to independently solve transient problems in electrical machines and to correctly interpret the obtained results.

      Contents of lectures The generalized system of machine equations. Transients in synchronous machines. Reactances and time constants. Asynchronous operation of synchronous machines. Transient change in speed. Small and large disturbances. Transients in induction machines. The choice of a mathematical model for various types of induction motors. Transients in dc machines. Basic equations and parameters.
