      The goal Introduction to the problem of monitoring the state of electrical machinery at work. In particular, studying the elements of the system for monitoring, electrical techniques, chemical techniques, vibration techniques and monitoring of thermal effects.
      The outcome Upon completion of the course, students are trained to implement and apply a variety of methods for condition monitoring of electrical machines during operation.

      Contents of lectures Construction and operation of electrical machinery and mechanism of failure. Electrical monitoring techniques. Chemical techniques for condition monitoring. Degradation of insulation and its detection. Lubricating bearings and degradation. Vibration condition monitoring techniques. The dynamics of the rotor. Examples of vibration monitoring. Monitoring temperature.
