| The goal | Students are introduced to methods of integration of electrical drives into complex process of driving industrial applications, communal systems, applications for commercial and residential buildings and the like. Studying of methods for analyses, synthesis and design of communication structures for control and supervision for electrical drive as a part of complex system. | |||
| The outcome | Ability to analyze the complex structure of process with electrical drive as integral part. Methods for connecting, standards, mutual influence of process and the drive. Training for analyses of steady state and transients in the technological process with the purpose of adequate selection of integration method of drive in application. | |||

| Contents of lectures | Introduction. Quantities important for process control and the quality of the final product. Process control and production monitoring systems. Identification of data for analysis of process and drive operation. Sensors and acquisition of process and drive quantities. Data display for different users. Quantities interdependencies. Estimation and observation of process from drive quantities. | |||
| Contents of exercises | Examples of characteristic complex industrial application with controlled and multimotor electrical drives. Demonstration of control methods of electrical drive from the supervisory control system for process control. Demo of process disturbance and its influence to the performance of the electrical drive. Integration of controlled drive in the system for control and supervision of the process. | |||
