The goal To acquire fundamentals of analog filters. Use of software tools in filter design.
The outcome To learn how to define the filter specifications depending on the system specifications. To select the optimum type of filter approximation and the technology for implementation. To design the filter using the software tools, to perform simulations and optimization.
      Contents
Contents of lectures The role of filters in complex systems and devices. Selection of the approximation type and the design using software tools. Filter realization (active RC-OpAmp, OTA, SC, passive filters, IC universal filters, programmable analog circuits).
Contents of exercises Use of the standard software tools for the design, analysis and simulation of analog filters.
