    The goal Introducing students to the current regulations in the field of energy efficiency of buildings. Introducing students to the energy efficient electrical systems in buildings. Introducing students to the methods of the calculation of annual energy consumption of buildings. Introducing students to the energy certification of buildings.
    The outcome Training students to assess the energy performance of the building and improve them by using energy efficient electrical systems. Training students to take part in making Energy Efficiency Elaborate and Energy Performance Certificate for residential, administrative and commercial buildings.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Legislation. Energy classes. Electrical systems for control of heating, ventilation and air conditioning in buildings. Electrical systems for supervision and optimization of electrical power consumption in buildings. The use of energy efficient lighting systems in buildings. The use of energy efficient electric drives in buildings. Methods of the calculation of annual energy consumption.
    Contents of exercises Examples of the calculations of annual energy consumption. Calculations of thermal performance of buildings and heat gains from solar radiation. Examples of electrical systems for supervision and optimization of electrical power consumption in buildings. Examples of Energy Efficiency Elaborate and Energy Performance Certificate for a residential building.
