The goal | Introduce students to the principles and methods of positioning in radio systems. The aim is to introduce the mathematical approach to determining the user location in the radio systems (probabilistic and deterministic), parameters that can be used to determine location and characteristics of the positioning in the various radio systems (satellite-GPS, cellular-GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G, indooor-WLAN)
The outcome | Upon completion of the course, students should be able: - To determine user location in different types of radio systems - To assess the accuracy of the positioning process - To propose solutions to increase positioning accuracy - To evaluate the services in accordance with the possibilities of positioning.
