    Lecturer/Associate (for OTC)
      ESPB 9.0 Status elective
      Condition No prerequisites
The goal To introduce students to the field of nonlinear optics and make them familiar with the most common nonlinear optical phenomena, major nonlinear optical effects, including physical principles, experimental techniques, research achievements and current or potential applications.
The outcome Students should be able to clearly make distinction between linear and nonlinear optical phenomena, recognize major nonlinear effects, predict the conditions for their occurrence in various optical materials, distinguish useful from harmful effects and apply acquired knowledge in scientific research and construction of devices based on nonlinear optical effects.
