      The goal Learning about specific methods and instrumentation dedicated to clinical and laboratory measurements in electrophysiology. The student after the course should be ready to measure and process the collected elecrophysiological data with the full understanding of limitations and patients' safety.
      The outcome Individual project and passed exam. The student after the course needs to be prepared to participate in the clinical measurements, but also to participate in the research in the domain of electrophysiology.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Electrophysiologal signals (deterministic and stochastic). Type and source of the signal (in the time and frequency domains). Characteristics of the systems for acquisition of signals which originate from the peripheral nerves, muscles, heart, and brain. Signal conditioning (analog, digital). Signal acquisition by a virtual instrument realized in different software environments.
      Contents of exercises Individual practical project of measurements of an electrophysiological signal. The results need to be in a form suitable for dissemination as an conference or journal publication.
