      Contents of lectures Energy consumption in ICT; distribution by sectors and possibilities for savings. Power profiles of communication devices and their subunits. Strategies to increase energy efficiency: hardware- and protocol-based approaches. Buffer management. Energy-efficient routing. Load balancing. Smart grid applications. Design and optimisation of energy-efficient networks.
