      The goal Introduction of high voltage substations of voltage level from 0.4 kV to 400 kV.
      The outcome Training students to design, build, maintain and use high voltage substations.

      Contents of lectures Short circuit currents. The parameters of the short circuit current. Thermal check of substation elements. The elements of the substation. Single pole diagrams. Disposition of the substation. Shielded substations. Digital systems in plants. Grounding systems in substations. Basic standards and recommendations related to the high voltage plant. Reliability of high voltage equipment.
